GCI’s has provided remanufactured Eddy Current Brakes to the drilling industry for over 20 years. This makes GCI the preferred and most experienced independent supplier of remanufactured brakes, brake repair and service to the drilling industry.

The brakes are remanufactured at our plant in Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. We offer brake rebuilds using new or refurbished parts depending on the condition of the brake and customer preference.

As an independent supplier we take great pride in our ability to manufacture our own replacement parts. Our rotors, magnet castings, coils and complete magnet assemblies are manufactured with the aim to meet or exceed the performance of the original parts.  Our long and successful service to the drilling industry comes as a direct result of our continued focus on workmanship and our use of high quality parts.

With over 20 years experience in remanufacturing eddy current brakes we have learned that the key to a reliable quality product lies in the material selection, manufacturing process and workmanship. All of our remanufactured brakes are delivered with new fasteners, bearings, seals, and seal sleeves and are surface coated externally and internally for maximum corrosion resistance.
