 GCI announces completion of third mud pump upgrade for Nabors Drilling.

GCI has installed and commissioned a third mud pump upgrade for Nabors Drilling.  The upgrade was made to an existing SCR House to facilitate the individual or simultaneous operation of a third mud pump.  Power contactors with associated bus work and cabling were added to two SCR bays – the MCC and DC Motor plug boards were also modified to accommodate the additional pump.  Additionally, a small control console, containing all controls and annunciation required for the addition, was fabricated and installed adjacent to the existing driller’s control console.

The unit was delivered to Nabors Drilling in El Paso, TX.
