 GCI delivers Electric Brake Battery Backup

GCI announces that it has delivered an Eddy Current (Electric) Brake Battery Backup System to Equipment Resources.  The unit is designed to provide full power to the rig’s electric brake upon loss of rig power, e.g. blackout or any time an emergency stop is actuated on the drill floor.  Full power can be supplied for a minimum of 30 minutes with a 24 hour recovery or battery recharge time.

The unit was delivered to Equipment Resources in Sabine Pass, TX.
